OK, let's start off on a good note. I will be able to get a new phone this December. Now, to the bad part. The bad part is there are so many phones to choose from. Although which carrier you're on does make the decision at least a little easier it still is just incredibly hard.
My first smartphone I got a couple years ago was the OG (original) Droid. That phone was great, and surprisingly it hardly had any bugs unlike many of the phones a lot of other people had. Everything went great until I spilled water on it in my sleep. The next morning I awoke, but sadly the Droid didn't. I even tried using the "rice in a bag" trick. Anyway, onto upgrading to a new phone.

I received a slingbox in the mail about two days ago. I opened the box, took the slingbox out first, and I was very impressed with how light the device actually is. There are two other compartments in the box, one for audio/video cables and the other for the power. The first thing I tried to do when I got the slingbox was to hook it up to my dvr. I use component for my dvr, and Sling Media is very nice with the amount of cables they provide with the device. So I hooked it to my dvr, passing the video/audio through the slingbox and to the tv. After this you have to go to online to set it up for viewing capabilities online. This for some reason messed me up. I used my laptop as a network bridge to send my wireless signal to the slingbox via the ethernet port (just to test hd).
